Maybe someone can answer this question--

I've recently begun studying George Washington's early life-- up to his marriage. Why did he inherit Mt. Vernon and not his other older half-brother, Augustine Jr., also know as Austin? I read somewhere on the internet that Austin lived to be in his fifties.
